Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 7, 1952 SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR PAUL LASSWELL, SR., WHO PASSED AWAY TUESDAY AT COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Members of the Elks Lodge No. 335, Phoenix, conducted funeral services at Wickenburg Chapel at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon for Paul B. (Pop) Lasswell, Sr., who passed away at 1 o'clock Tuesday morning in Community Hospital. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. BORN IN INDIANA Mr Lasswell was born in Monroe City, Ind., July 20, 1893, the son of a Presbyterian minister. It was because of his health that he moved to Arizona, living first in Phoenix for three years and coming to Wickenburg in 1945 with his wife Gayle whom he married in Muncie, Ind., in 1915, and his son who at that time was serving in the Army. He leased The Antlers on Tegner Street in 1948. THE SURVIVORS Surviving are the widow, Mrs Gayle Lasswell, and son, Paul Lasswell, Jr., both of Wickenburg, and one brother, Harold Lasswell, a teacher of science in the University of Chicago.
