The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 05, 2009 Lea Ella Patrick, 95, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away at Arizona Pioneer's Home on Nov. 3, 2009, after her work on Earth was done. She was born in McLaughlin, S.D., to John and Louise Banek. Lea loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile. She showed by example what it meant to be a hard worker. Lea blessed her children and grandchildren with wonderful dinners because she was an excellent cook. Her love for gardening showed in her beautiful roses, plants and flowers. For many years she played the piano at church and used to sing and play at home. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Patrick and sons Thomas J. Patrick and John L. Patrick. Lea is survived by her sister Leota Mickelson of McLaughlin, S.D. She is also survived by her daughter Valerie Reed (husband Bob) and her daughter-in-law Rene Patrick (who was preceded in death by her husband John L. Patrick). Lea's grandchildren are Brenda D. Lyon (husband Dean and great-granddaughter Meghan); James H. Reed (Sarah and great-grandchildren Kyla and Isaac); Thomas G. Reed (Angi); Robert S. Reed (Crystal); Gregory T. Patrick (Crystal); Elliot L. Patrick (great-granddaughter Haylee); and James I. Patrick. We will be celebrating Lea's life at a graveside service 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz., with Rev. Galen Neshem officiating.
