The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, November 02, 2009 11/02/42 - 10/28/09 Gary Carmack was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark. He graduated Oxnard High School, Oxnard, Calif., and received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from National University in 1979, with honors. He was predeceased by parents, John and Lorena Carmack. He is survived by wife, Terri; daughter, Robin; granddaughters, Neria and Aloria of Chino Valley; brothers, Charles, (Dorothy), John (Connie) and Tom Carmack of Oxnard, Calif.; sister, Gayle Eads of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963, where he met and married Terri. He worked for San Diego Gas & Electric for 25 years and retired as an Administrator and Project Manager. He was listed in 'Whose Who' in California in 1983. Gary served as Master of Consuelo Masonic Lodge #325 in 1998. He was a recipient of the Hiram Award. He also served as Pursivant for Grand Lodge of California. Gary was very active with the Lions Club from 1980 until his recent death. Had held many chairs within the Lions, receiving numerous awards during those many years. He served as District Governor of San Diego and Imperial Counties 1999-2000 with the Lions Club. He was the recipient of the Lion's International President's Award in 2000. Gary moved to Chino Valley, Ariz., five years ago where he helped organize and set up CV Noontimers Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local Lions Club or to Shriner's Hospitals. Memorials at Azlan Masonic Lodge #1 and San Diego area to be announced at a later date.
