| West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona November 10, 2009 Clare Ann Jones, 78, of west Phoenix died Nov. 5, 2009, in west Phoenix. Mrs. Jones was born April 28, 1931, in Schenectady, N.Y. She moved to Arizona in 1974. She was a captain in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957, serving as a registered nurse. She then worked for 25 years as a genealogist and home engineer, completing three volumes of research on three family lines. She was also a member of the Ministry of Care and in the choir at St. Augustine's Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Mary of Buckeye; five sons, Richard, Joseph of Buckeye, Robert of California, William of Idaho, Thomas and Michael of Litchfield Park; two sisters, Elizabeth Hernquist of New York and Sr. St. Gerard Myers, IHM, of Pennsylvania; one brother, Art Myers of New York; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Greer-Wilson Funeral Home, 5921 W. Thomas Road. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine's Church, 3630 N. 71st Ave., Phoenix. |
