Mary Luisa Carrizoza
(August 11, 1933 - August 27, 2009)

Mary Luisa Carrizoza entered into life August 11, 1933 in Marinette (present day Youngtown), Arizona and entered into rest August 27, 2009 in Sun City, Arizona.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: children; Annie (Robert) Arrieta, Mary Lou (Jesse) Arrieta, Edmund (Rachel) Carrizoza, Eddie Carrizoza, David (Veronica) Carrizoza & Isabel Sernas, 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters; Tony, Frank, Alfred Arvizu, Esther Redondo & Connie Guzman, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; Luis G. Arvizu & Agripina S. Arvizu, brother; Luis S. Arvizu, sister; Penny Galindo & granddaughter; Rachelle Rene Carrizoza.

Mary was known as “Mom Mary” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many others who were close to her. She was known in the community for her exceptional work ethic. She was counted on as a notary public and tax preparer, though her primary career was a clerk of court for the Tolleson and Peoria justice courts. She loved watering her plants, and was a wonderful cook. Mary looked forward to Sunday family gatherings, where she would cook and her son David would barbeque. She loved her lottery and casino trips with her brother Tony, and traveling with her daughter Annie and sister Connie. Each day she enjoyed reading her morning paper and having coffee with her brother Alfred. Mary was known for her sense of humor, and beloved by all.

Visitation 6:00-8:00 with Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 539 E. La Pasada Blvd., Goodyear, Arizona Mass of Christian Burial 9:00 am, Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the church with interment to follow Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ
