| Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Posted: Tuesday, Nov 10th, 2009 Martha Jane Peirce (Meadows) Brooks, 78, of Palm Springs, Calif., passed away on October 18, 2009. She was born in Miami, Arizona to Grace and J. K. Peirce on January 24, 1931 and graduated from Globe High School in 1949. Martha is survived by her husband, Michael Stanford Brooks; sister, Norine Heinrich (Bob) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and children, Brian Meadows (Beverly) of Ventura, Calif., Frank Meadows and Kimberly Calvelage of Phoenix, Ariz., and Karen Meadows of Miami, Ariz. Grandchildren are Cameron and Loren Meadows of Ventura, Calif., Cody Calvelage (Tasha) of Queen Creek, Ariz., Angela Meadows of New York, and Ivy Meadows of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wylie Weatherford. Martha will be cremated and her ashes will be placed in the Globe Cemetery on Hackney Road on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009. All friends and family are invited to attend interment of her ashes at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to gather with family for lunch between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. at the restaurant, Guayo's See Also: Find A Grave |
