In loving memory of June Bonito, who went home to be with the Heavenly Father Nov. 9, 2009, in Mesa. She was born June 25, 1947, in Whiteriver.

June attended school at East Fork Mission High School and Stewart Indian School in Nevada. She was a very kind, generous, loving person. She enjoyed cooking, reading the Bible and doing Bible study. She loved spending time with family and friends. She liked helping her family, relatives and friends. She worked at East Fork Nursery for years. She went to Salt Lake City, Utah, and California to attend trainings to become a nursing assistant. After completing her training, she moved back to Phoenix. She then worked as a manager for Park Central Motel in Phoenix and later retired. She came home to Whiteriver in July 2008. She will be missed.

Survivors include a son, Johnathan Quintero; two brothers, Wesley Bonito and Emmanuel Bonito; sister Ida Mae Garland; daughter-in-law Rachel Quintero and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A two night wake will start at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Ida Mae Garland's residence in Seven Mile. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at The Grace of God Church in East Fork with Pastor Gibson Smith officiating. Burial will be at Mission View Cemetery in East Fork.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Mortuary of Show Low.
