The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, November 07, 2009 Aleetress Blanton, 82, of Cottonwood, died Nov. 6. She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Stuart, Okla., the daughter of James Elmer Fraizer and Othel Leona Martin Fraizer. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree and worked as a nurse in Tempe Hospital in delivery, surgery, the nursery and at a blood bank in Phoenix. Later in life she worked at a nursing home in Idaho. Aleetress was an accomplished seamstress. She loved quilting and crocheting. She loved music and had a lovely singing voice. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and worked for many years with the youth. Aleetress loved gardening and was an amazing cook. She loved her family dearly. She is survived by her three children, Lana, Barbara, and Raymond; her ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Linda (Larry) of Phoenix; five brothers, James of Snowflake, John (Martha) of Wieser, Idaho, Don of Emmett, Idaho, Melvin (Pat) of Parma, Idaho and Kenneth (Robin) of Mesa. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 10 a.m. A visitation will be from 9:30-10 at the Church. Burial will be in Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E.
