Ida May (Sissi) Walker

Ida May "Sissi" Walker of Skull Valley, died July 26. She was 75.

Mrs. Walker was born Oct. 9, 1920 in Lake Forest, Ill. She had lived in Arizona almost all her life, moving here when she was 5 years old.

Mrs. Walker came to Walnut Grove in 1925, where her father built the Z Triangle Ranch while serving as a state senator and later as an ambassador to Portugal. From 1945 until her death, she was owner and ran the Bar U Ranch in Skull Valley.

Mrs. Walker was a member for more than 50 years of the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association; the American Quarter Horse Association; and was a charter member of the Cowboy Turtles Association, which is now the PRCA.

Survivors include two daughters, Laurel Walker and Carol Walker Belmare both of Skull valley; a half-brother James Minotto of London, England; and half sister, Anina Minotto Gadd of Altadena, Calif.
