Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 14, 1996 Raymond E. Cook, of Yarnell, died Feb 6 in Glendale. He was 83. Mr. Cook was born April 3, 1912 in Precept, Neb. He had lived in Arizona for 71 years, coming from Nebraska. Mr. Cook was honored with prizes and recognition for his farming ability of setting records in cotton production, and innovations in irrigation and cultivation. He liked gardening, fishing and hunting. He will be missed by a host of friends in Yarnell and the Salt River Valley. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine, of Yarnell; daughter Nancy White of Phoenix; sons Richard and Darrell Cook, both of Glendale, and David Cook of Kingman; sister Wilma McDonald of Phoenix; brother Robert Cook of Glendale; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation and funeral services have been held at the Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church. Graveside services and burial were in the Genung Cemetery. Dr. Jay H. Confair officiated. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service handled all arrangements. |
