Gary Wayne Callahan

Gary Wayne Callahan, of Thousand Palms, Calif., died Jan. 10 in Phoenix. He was 48.

Mr. Callahan was born June 17, 1947 in Glendale, Calif. He had been in Arizona for 15 days, coming here from California.

Mr. Callahan was a Coast Guard veteran who served three tours in Vietnam as a gunners mate. He was an insurance representative with Metro¬politan Life and a teacher at Orange Coast College.

Mr. Callahan loved sailing and racing sailboats, and riding off-road vehicles. He also enjoyed skiing and fishing with his sons.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Jo of Thousand Palms, Calif.; mother and step-father Mary G. and Arthur Aigner of Orange County, Ca¬lif.; father-in-law and mother-in-law Gordon and Iola Kraemer of Wickenburg; sons Thomas and Robert McGee, both of Thousand Palms, and Michael Callahan of Texas; daughters Tori Morris and Gennifer Ferris, both of, Texas; and grandchildren Courtney, Morris and Tyler Ferris, both of Texas.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Porterville, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Callahan's name to: Stroke Activity Center, 1776 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, Calif., 92264.
