| Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 24, 1996 Elisha L. York Jr., of Aguila, died Jan. 17 in Glendale. He was 72. Mr. York was born Sept. 18, 1923 in Chicago, Ill. He had lived in Arizona for five years, coming here from California. While living in Chicago, Mr. York was a police officer and railroad engineer; He retired in 1985 from the Carpenters Local Union in Hayward, Calif. He is survived by his companion, Alma Avery of Aguila; daughters Cathleen York and Christine Ryan, both of Chicago; son Thomas Lee York of Chicago sister Martha Clements of Florida and three grandchildren. Private family services have been held. Arrangements were handled by Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
