Johnnie Paul Pruett, of Wittmann, died Jan. 19, [1996] in Wickenburg. He was 60.

Mr. Pruett was born May 5, 1935 in Centerville, Tenn. He had lived in Arizona for 50 years, coming here from Tennessee.

Mr. Pruett was a great lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, panning for gold, and walking in the desert.

Mr. Pruett is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary of Wittmann; daughters Paula Hughes of Wickenburg, Carrie Pruett and Norma Smith, both of Wittmann; sons Johnnie R. of California, Mike and James, both of Wittmann; parents Ola and John Pruett of Surprise;, sisters Jewel Crumpler and Joyce Dodd, both of Surprise, and Faye Gilley of Peoria; brothers Billy Ray and Jimmy T., both of Surprise; and 14 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan 21st at 2 p.m. at the Wittmann Cemetery: Pastor Don Darnell will officiate.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of all arrangements.
