Roscoe Putt, of Wittmann, died 3 Jan. 25 in Wittmann. He was 85.

Mr. Putt was born June 10, 1910 in Fort Wayne, Ind. He moved to Arizona three years ago to be near his family. He had lived the previous 20 years near Kendallville, Indiana.

He was a World War II veteran and a 50 year member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union No. 166, based in Fort Wayne.

After retiring, Mr. Putt and his wife spent another 10 years traveling the arts and crafts circuit displaying handmade crafts. He specialized in making custom doll houses. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his family and all children.

"He is survived by Rock Betu of Wittmann and Marty Mieras of Phoenix; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna May, in 1989.

A memorial service was held at Rock Betu's residence in Wittmann. Interment will be in Kendalville, Ind. Arrangements were handled by Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
