Mary Jane Whitley
(September 9, 1930 - February 18, 2008)

Mary Jane Whitley began her Eternal Life through our Saviour Christ Jesus, February 18th, 2008. From Jan. 31st to Feb. 18th Mary, along with her two daughters Alvina and Missy lived in Olivia White Hospice/Northland.

Mary's mother, Sadie Ellen, passed away when Mary was only 4 yrs old from pneumonia. Pneumonia is one of the many illnesses Mary suffered from and what she ultimately passed away from.

She was born Mary Jane Swafford in Globe, Az. on Sept. 9, 1930. She was 77 yrs. old. First and foremost Mary was a care giver. I'm sure that was one of her callings.

She had many "careers", waitress for the Justa Cafe, Realtor for Copper Realty, Co-Owner of Whitley's Auto, (all in Globe), "#1" Handyman, Phx., and up until she retired in 1994, she was a Certified Nurses Assistant in Boswell Hospital and several nursing homes in Sun City too. She did home health care for Nurse Finders as well as many others. At the time of her passing, Mary lived in Flagstaff, with her youngest daughter and son-in-law John and Missy Paulsell.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands Alvin Reinschmidt and Jerry Whitley Sr. Also preceding her in death were 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Mary is survived by brother Bill Swafford, Thatcher, Az. and sister Mattie Clark of San Diego,Ca. She is also survived by her 3 daughters: Frieda Carnahan of Lufkin, Texas, Alvina Montoya of Ridgecrest, Ca., and Missy Paulsell of Flagstaff,Az. Mary has 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 26 grandanimals.

Services were handled by Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff.

A Memorial Service will be held in Eagle Creek, Az. in the summer. She was a wonderful mother and my best friend.

She will be missed more than I can express. Respectfully, Missy Paulsell.
