The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, September 3, 2006 Robert Charles Carter died in his sleep on Aug. 28, 2006, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Bedford, Ind. to Charles Carter and Nellie Chastin. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was the owner of Carters Motor Clinic in San Diego, Calif., for over 30 years. He retired to Prescott in 1975. Robert is survived by a sister, Mary Hawkins of Oak View, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Carter Wehe of Kingwood, Texas, and Paula Carter Cooper of Bend, Ore.; Christopher Wehe of Houston, Texas, Sandi Wehe of Cardiff, Calif., and Karen Manning of Dayton, Nev.; and one great-granddaughter, Briana Manning of Dayton, Nev.
