FUNERAL TODAY FOR MRS SARAH STRAUGHAN

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p. m. today at the Presbyterian church for Mrs Sarah J. Straughtan, 69 years old, who passed away Wednesday morning in a Phoenix hospital following a lingering illness.

With her husband, B. C. Straughan, she came to Wickenburg in about 1917, where they made thier home until about three years ago, moving to Tempe.

Mrs Straughan was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star here. Always taking an active part in the church activities, her untiring efforts done much towards the building of the Presbyterian church and Manse here in Wickenburg. Mrs Straughan exemplified in her every action the precepts of true Christianity, and leaves many friends here who mourn her passing.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs Ray Curry and a granddaughter, Lois of Tempe.

The Brayton Commercial Company and Safeway Stores will close for an hour this afternoon during the funeral services for Mrs Straughan.
