Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, November 9, 1951 SERVICES FOR VERON W. BAILEY WERE HELD TUESDAY. THE WICKENBURG MAN DIES HERE LAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Funeral services for Veron Willis Bailey, who died at his home here Saturday afternoon, were held in the Wickenburg Chapel Tuesday with the Rev. and Mrs John Roelfe officiating. Mr Bailey was born July 23, 1884, near Groton, S. D., and lived in that state, Tennessee and Idaho until 1938 when he moved to Glendale, Ariz., and operated a grocery and service station until June of 1944 when he came to Wickenburg. THE SURVIVORS The widow, Berenice Bailey, and four step-children survive. They are Mrs Marie Foster of Duncan, Okla.; Mrs Lucille Hay of Glendale; Miss Norma Shafer of Los Angeles and Eugene Shafer, formerly of Wickenburg, now of Medford, Ore. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery with Delbert Kirby, Chester Davis, Fred Argall, William Franklin, Chester Latham and B. Gobble serving as pallbearers. See Also: Find a Grave |
