Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, November 2, 1951 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR BEN JAMES ALLEN WHO PASSED AWAY EARLY SUNDAY. HE LIVED HERE FOUR YEARS The Rev. Billie Pate, Baptist minister, conducted funeral services in Wickenburg Chapel Tuesday afternoon for Ben James Allen who passed away early Sunday morning in Community Hospital. CAME FROM MICHIGAN Mr Allen, who came here four years ago from Lansing, Mich., was born in St. Louis, Mich., March 13, 1892. While here he worked for the Town of Wickenburg as custodian of Town Hall, and also worked for a time at Tyan-Evans, Sears & Hill and Western Cleaners. He made his home here with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Norman H. Tjiema. THREE CHILDREN SURVIVE Surviving are three children: Mrs Norman Tjiema and Jim Allen of Wickenburg and Mrs Ruby Culver of Lansing, Mich. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers: Mrs Gladys Roghan of Lansing, Mich.; Mrs Joe Bresslin of New Jersey; Don Allen of Bath, Mich.; and Vern Allen of Alma, Mich. BURIAL IN WICKENBURG Burial was in the wickenburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Bybee, Harold Hart, W. C. Cooley, Clyde Hall, Roy Bailey and J. E. Davis. F. H. Wachter served as honorary pallbearer.
