The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, September 17, 2006 Francis Elizabeth "Betty" Bozarth was born on June 3, 1930, in Prescott, Arizona. She was the daughter of prominent cattle ranchers Waldo and Nancy Cooper Bozarth. She was born into a pioneering family that contributed to much of Arizona's early history. Her early years were spent growing up on cattle ranches in various parts of Arizona and eventually California. Her parents purchased the OX Cattle Company in the East Mojave Desert. During this time, Betty attended school in Needles and graduated from Needles High School in 1948. Shortly after this, she met and fell in love with local businessman John Edward Farmer. They were married on July 1, 1949. Her greatest joy and sense of accomplishment came from being a loving wife and devoted mother to her three children, Timothy, Laurie and Nancy. Betty passed away at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Farmer. She spent the last year and a half of her life with her youngest daughter, Nancy Linsmeier, and her family in San Bernardino, Calif. During this period, she was a client of Odyssey Hospice and continued to touch and inspire the lives of all the individuals who cared for her. She thrived for much longer than expected and remained a symbol of strength and dignity until her passing on July 23, 2006. Betty is survived by her children, Tim and Teresa Farmer of Bakersfield, Calif., Laurie and Gary Dybdahl of Burbank, Calif., and Nancy and Joseph Linsmeier of San Bernardino, Calif.; her grandchildren, Ashley and Josh Powell, Lindsey Farmer, Bradley Farmer, McKenzie Linsmeier, Landon Linsmeier and Brandon Dybdahl; and great-grandson Gunnar Powell.
