The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, October 13, 2006 Kenneth Eugene McNabb, 71, went to be with the Lord Oct. 10, 2006. Ken was born on Dec. 10, 1934, in Phoenix, Ariz., the fourth son of Fred and Jesse McNabb. He attended Kenilworth school, Phoenix Union High, West High, Phoenix College, and Arizona State University. Ken worked for the State Tax Commission/Arizona Department of Revenue for 30 years, until retiring on Aug. 11, 1989. He worked for the town of Prescott Valley from August 1989 to December 1995, when health issues again forced him to retire. After his father's death, Ken took care of his mom until she died in 1976. Ken found the love of his life, Betty Lou Cleveland, and they were married on Oct. 7, 1978. Together they built their first home in Prescott in 1981, located in Forest Hylands, which was close to Hassayampa Motor Court where Ken and his brothers stayed on their summer vacations. They also spent a lot of time camping and swimming in the Dells. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jack. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Betty Lou Cleveland McNabb; brothers Fred James of Nogales, Ariz. and William (Bill) (Jackie) of Phoenix, Ariz.; godson, Adam Cleveland (Lisa); nieces Linda (Ron) Dietrick and Karen (Mark) Cunha; nephews Bob (Linda) McNabb, Stephen, Harry, Billy (Maureen), and David (Liz) McNabb; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets in Prescott. A celebration of Ken's life will take place at 11 a.m. in the same location. Graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
