Juanita L. Messer, 84, of Prescott, Ariz., born Sept. 25, 1923, in Panama, Okla., passed away Sept. 27, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Willow Hills 1st Southern Baptist Church, in Prescott, Ariz.

Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted with the arrangements.

Juanita Messer was born in Panama, Okla., on Sept. 25, 1923.

J.D. Pitts shared her life until he passed in 1978. She remarried Ernest Messer, who passed away in 2002.

She is survived by sons, Ron and Jerry Pitts; daughter, Peggy Tirado; as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Juanita was a creative, fun-loving woman who enriched the lives of everyone she encountered.

She was active in her church, the Prescott Senior Center and her apartment complex.

She recently received two ribbons in the county fair for the second year in a row.

Juanita was a loving, supportive mother and grandmother. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends.

Juanita went to be with the Lord on Sept. 2, 2007. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial service was Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the Willow Hills Baptist Church in Prescott, Ariz.
