Services Today For Anton Rubash

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Friday) at the Wickenburg Chapel for ANTON RUBASH, widely known mining man of this community, who passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital.

Dr. Charles S. POLING will officiate and burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Mr. Rubash, who was a hard rock miner in the old Octave Mine from 1936 until 1941, had been in ill health for nearly 12 years and had been hospitalized frequently in recent years.

He was born August 28, 1887, in Chadron, Nebraska, and worked in coal mines in Oklahoma before coming to this section in 1936. He had many friends throughout this area and was highly regarded by all.

Ten Children -

Ten children survive. They are Arthur, Anton, Jr., Danny and Jimmy, all of Wickenburg; Mrs. Ethel MONROE of McAlester, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ruby McLAUGHLIN of Phoenix; Grover of Cortez, Colorado; Mrs. Helen CARTER of Holbrook, Ariz.; Mrs. Phyllis ONSTOTT of Adak, Alaska, and Mrs. Doria ONSTOTT of San Diego, Calif. One brother, Joe RUBASH of Pensacola, Florida, also survives, and the surviving sisters are Mrs. Annie McCUTCHEON of McAlester, and Mrs. Ethel SUMPTER and Mrs Mary SMITH, both living in California. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive. Mrs.

Rubash passed away in 1947.
