Gladys Lenore Taylor, 70, of Black Canyon City, passed away Friday, December 15, 2000. Born November 12, 1930 in Williams, Arizona, she was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Gladys was secretary at Local #394, Cement Masons and Plasterers Union, until her retirement in 1986. She and her husband, Tom, then moved to Black Canyon City, where she was surrounded by her cherished birds and garden. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher who loved working outdoors at her desert home. The time we had with her has blessed us all, as she was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Her spirit and smile will guide us forever. Gladys is survived by her husband: Thomas Taylor; her daughters: Sandra Heisser and Diane Franek; stepson: Grady Taylor; six grandchildren, Kevin, Ken and Kristin Heisser, and Michael, Jacque and Kelly McDonald; and two sisters: Tillie Burns and Joyce Wilson. Funeral services were Monday, December 18, 2000, at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, Arizona.
