| Rev. D. George Kennedy (O. Carm), 83, of Phoenix Arizona, died December 14, 2000. Father Kennedy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 17, 1917. He professed his vows as a Christian Brother in 1935 and taught high school for many years. He served as principal and provincial as a Christian Brother and then was ordained a Carmelite priest in 1978. As a Carmelite priest, He served in the United States and in Lima, Peru. Fr. Kennedy retired to Phoenix in 1999. Published in The Arizona Republic December 17, 2000 |
