The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, November 17, 2009 Beecher Allen, 84, of Camp Verde, died Nov. 16. He was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Morrilton, Ark., the son of Beecher A. Allen, Sr. and Bertha I. Wheeler Allen. Mr. Allen attended Attica, Indiana, schools. He served his country during World War II in the Navy. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked for NASA and also was a restaurant owner and operator. He enjoyed playing the steel guitar and hiking in the Sedona red rocks. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Anne Allen. Mr. Allen is survived by a daughter Betty Hamilton (Bob) of Tucson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
