John Ray Stewart, 61, of Camp Verde died November 10. He was born April 8, 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico, the son of Bill and Jean Stewart. He graduated from Kofa High School and went on to college to learn the trade of carpentry. His career was as a carpenter and working in construction. His interests were hunting, fishing, hiking, pets, playing guitar and the outdoors. He was a great father, loving grandpa and a wonderful friend. He is survived by a son, Troy Stewart of Phoenix; a daughter Tina Stewart of Cottonwood; brothers, Robert Stewart of Prescott Valley and Ronnie Stewart of Washington; sisters Clara Riley of Prescott Valley and Tammy Stewart of Phoenix; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15 at the family home, 2700 S. Flower Pot Rd., Camp Verde at 2 PM.
