Margaret Ella (Palmer) Bacon

BACON, Mrs. Margaret Ella PALMER, 100, came to Phoenix in 1902 and started teaching a year later in the old Riverside School.

She was born January 20, 1870, in Gagetown, New Brunswick, and during the winter of 1902 visited a sister, Mrs. M. H. SHARPE of Phoenix. She met Thomas H. BACON, a member of the Roosevelt School Board and they were married in 1905. He died in 1949.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall of Indianapolis and Oliver of Phoenix; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
