| Mary Duran Norvell, 78, of Phoenix, a social worker, died Dec. 23, 1999. She was born in St. Johns and was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include her daughters, Charlene Sanderson, Loretta Armijo and Joanne Martin; brothers, Carlos, Abelardo and Tony Duran; and one grandchild.
