Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, March 19, 1943 JOHN R. BELL IS KILLED IN ACTION The second boy from Wickenburg killed in action is 1st Lt. John R. Bell, Jr., who is reported missing in action March 4th-presumably over Europe. Known by his many friends in this district as "Pinky" while emloyed at the Standard Stations at Center and Tegner a year or more before enlisting, he was decorated January 25th in London for exceptional service in the Army Air Force with combat planes.
