Coolidge Examiner, Coolidge, Arizona Wednesday, January 22, 2003 Cirl L. "Buddy" Baker, 69, of Coolidge died Jan. 14, 2003 in Coolidge. Mr. Baker was born Nov. 25, 1933 in Wilberton, Okla., to Frank C. and Lizzie Baker. He moved to Eloy at age 7, then Roswell, N.M., during his teenage years. He often visited Eleven Mile Corner, where his sister lived. He moved back to Arizona in 1973. Most of his work was as a truck driver, hauling hay. He retired in 1974 due to an injury received in an electrical accident while working for a pump company. Survivors include his wife, Bessie; three sons, Lincoln, Tommy and Jesse; two daughters, Elizabeth and Derainne; two stepsons, Bart and Lonnie "Rusty" McDowell; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Barnes and Ida Akerson, and a brother, George Herndon. No service is planned in accordance with Mr. Baker's wishes.
