Carol E. (Brass) Garrett, 87, formerly of Phoenix, Az. died December 28, 2002 at Villa Maria Care Center, Tucson, Az. where she lived for the past two years. She was born in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY on September 25, 1915 and attended Jamaica High School in Queens, NY.

She was married to William (Bud) Garrett on October 8, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1966.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Garrett and his wife, Mary Hotvedt of Tucson, Richard Garrett and his wife, Betty Garrett of Eckert, CO, and her grandchildren, Brian Garrett-Ritenbaugh, Michael Alonzo, and Christina Alonzo.

Carol was devoted to her immediate family but also to her nieces and nephews and their children.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Guenther of Paradise, Caliv. and Florence Wuest of Phoenix.

She was a member of Encanto Community Church (UCC) of Phoenix and the Order of Eastern Star.

Memorial services will be held at Encanto Community Church, 2710 North Seventh Avenue, Phoenix, Az. on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. with interment following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of AZ/NM 102 W. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, A., 85003 or The Zambian Children's Fund, P.O. Box 42996, Tucson, Az., 85731.
