Gerald Wilfred (Jerry) Henley, 90, of Casa Grande died Dec. 29, 2002 in Casa Grande.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. The funeral there will follow at 11, with John Bjarnason officiating.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Henley was born Nov. 18, 1912 in Nogal, N.M., to Ernest and Emma (Bragg) Henley. In the 1930s he became a mechanic by taking a correspondence course. A member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, he worked on Parker Dam.

He owned and operated the Triple XXX and Desert Sands bars in Casa Grande before retirement. He was an accomplished cook and was known especially for his Mexican food. He was known for his hard work. He enjoyed all kinds of gardening and photography, capturing nature's beauty around the world. He also collected fancy liquor bottles. He lived in Arizona for 54 years.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Georgia (Terry); two daughters, Rosemary Bjarnason of El Paso, Texas, and Anne Curtis of Casa Grande; two sons, Henry George of Cantonment, Fla., and Richard Henley of Reno, Nev.; two sisters, Eleanor Henley of Bellevue, Wash., and Annie Mae Hutchins of Sparks, Nev.; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
