Joan (Stubblefield) Kreamer - Herrick

Joan Herrick, 74, died on December 30, 2002, in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Joan was born in Osceola, Iowa on January 29, 1928. She was the daughter of Lela and Edward Stubblefield who preceded her in death.

In 1946 she married Frank Kreamer and had four children: Gregg Kreamer, Dirk Kreamer, Scott Kreamer and Ann Ferguson.

After the death of Mr. Kreamer, Joan married John Herrick in 1967. Her family then consisted of 13 children with the additions of Joyce Rodenborn, Nicholas Herrick, Jody Trail, Jim Herrick, Jeff Herrick, Jeni Szatkowski, Jerry Herrick, Julie Buhrow, and Jackie Dummer.

Together John and Joan had Beth Pipitone. Joan and John raised their family in Ames, Iowa. In 1984, Joan and John moved to Paradise Valley, Arizona so she could enjoy the sun and desert.

She was active in her PEO Society and enjoyed all that Arizona had to offer. Joan made a house a home. She loved her family and friends and had a special fondness for her grandchildren and a love of animals. She added a special touch to everything with her gift of entertaining. Her life was full of wonderful journeys with her husband, as they traveled the world together. Joan led her life with unselfishness and grace. May this be passed on to all whom she touched.

Services: Wednesday, January 1st, Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Prayer service: 7:00 p.m., Messinger Mortuary at Indian School and Miller Roads in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Mass: Thursday, January 2nd, 11:00 a.m., St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 84th Street and Shea Blvd., in Scottsdale, Arizona.
