Jan. 13, 1996 Violet June Schooley, of East Desert Trumpet Road, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Heather Highlands Mobile Home Village, Inkerman, Jenkins Township, Pennsylvania, died Saturday at Desert Samaritan Hospital, Mesa, Ariz. Born June 26, 1916, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Griffith E. and Jane Morris Roberts. She was a resident of Heather Highlands Mobile Home Village for 20 years before moving to Arizona 2 years ago. She was a member of the Westmore Church of Christ, Goodwin Street, Kingston, and was employed by Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, as a licensed practical nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Schooley, on Nov. 21, 1980, and a brother, Arvin Roberts. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ron (Jill) Yakus, Phoenix ; a son, Arvon Schooley, Inkerman; a sister, Edith Redensky, Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday from the George A. Strish Funeral Home, 269 Bennett St., Luzerne, with the Rev. Steve C. Bennett, her pastor, officiating.
