Vernon E. Schmidt

Vernon E. Schmidt, born Sept. 12, 1922 in Cincinnati, Ohio, died April 23, 1994 at his home, 6002 W. Clarendon, Phoenix, Ariz. 85033.

He lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for the last 25 years. A graduate of Woodward High School, he received his E.E. degree from the University of Cincinnati. He had worked for Baldwin Piano Co., Convair in California, Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, and 11 years with Goodyear Aerospace in Litchfield Park, Ariz., Sperry Rand Co. in Glendale, Ariz., U.S. Department of Defense at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona , and was an active member of the Akron Barbershoppers for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Elaine Schmidt; children, Barbara Schmidt, Cassandra and Stan Correll, Michelle and Larry Bickel, Jocelyn and Lance Gulseth, Jason Schmidt; grandchildren, Erica Bickel, Alaina Correll, Colan Correll; great-grandchild, Hailey Bickel; and brother, Otto Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Daniel F. Schmidt.
