| Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio -- Robert Clare Jones, 77, passed away Feb. 27, 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Jones was born in Leroy, now Westfield Center, Ohio, and resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 37 years. He was a retired teacher for the Brunswick School System and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by wife, Ruth Ann, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Paul Hardy; daughters, Jennifer Jones and Trillah Myers, all of Cuyahoga Falls, and Christina Jones of Arizona; seven grandchildren; brothers, Bill of Florida and Harold of New Jersey. The family will receive friends Friday, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home (928-2127), 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A memorial service was conducted Saturday, at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Rev. James Nelson officiating. Final resting place at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44308, or the American Heart Association, Summit County Chapter, 1236 Weathervane Lane, Akron 44313, in his memory. Published March 2, 1994 in The Arizona Republic. |
