J. Parthene (Burroughs) Barrett

J. Parthene Barrett, 74, Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, died Oct. 2, 1991, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born in Kansas City and lived in Houston before moving to Apache Junction in 1974.

Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Broadway Christian Church, Mesa. She was a former member of the First Christian Church of Independence.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Barrett; four daughters, Jane Hill, Houston, Janna Somers, Provo, Utah, Jackie Edwards, Tucson, Ariz., and Jo Oldham, Glendale, Ariz.; a brother, Jack Burroughs, Savannah, Ga.; three sisters, Janis Chauncey, Independence, Missouri, Joan Sheetz, Garden Grove, Calif., and Virginia Fisher, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services were Oct. 7, 1991 at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, Central Arizona Chapter, 711 E. Missouri Ave., Suite 116, Phoenix , Ariz. 85014.
