Virginia Loraine Pitts, 76, died Saturday, November 16, 1991, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Born October 10, 1915, Cardiff, Colorado to Roy P. and Charlotte 'Lottie' Stockton Brewer.

Graduate Grand Junction High School and Ross Business College in Grand Junction. Retired clerical administrator from Salt Lake City Health Dept.

Married Dean H. Pitts April 26, 1936, Grand Junction.

Mr. and Mrs. Pitts owned and operated the Black & White Grocery for several years in Grand Junction. Mr. Pitts died September 5, 1980. Virginia lived in Collbran Colorado, 1944-56, Grand Junction 1956-60, Salt Lake City 1960-79, then back to Grand Junction for a year before moving to Phoenix in 1980.

Member Sweetwater Church of the Valley, Phoenix.

Survived by sons, Terry and Linda Pitts, Edmond, Okla.; Roy and Diana Pitts, Montrose, Colo.; Brian and Chris Pitts, West Jordan; daughter, Deann Thomas, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Willa 'Billie' and Carl Davis, Grand Junction, Colo.; two nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by her husband and one grandson.

Funeral services Friday, Nov. 22, 1991, Martin Mortuary Chapel in Grand Junction. Donations may be made to American Lung Assoc, 1014 North 5th St., Grand Junction, OR 81501 or American Heart Assoc, Mesa County Divison, P.O.Box 474, Grand Junction, CO 81501, in Virginia's name.
