Mary Regina Marnell, 90, of Prescott, Ariz., born Aug. 13, 1917, in Parsons, Kan., passed away Dec. 20, 2007, at Prescott Samaritan Care Center in Prescott.

Rosary and funeral mass will be later this month. Times and dates will be announced later.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mary Regina (Mary Jean) Marnell, age 90, died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007. A 43-year resident of Prescott, she was the daughter of George and Mary Roskob of Parsons, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Verl, in 1998 and her daughter, Mary Ann Marnell George, in 2000.

After Verl’s retirement from the Prescott Veteran’s Administration Hospital in 1978, they traveled the U.S. extensively, seeing most all of the 50 states, including Hawaii.

Survivors include her children, George and Kathy (Rowley) Marnell of Albuquerque, N.M., Rob and Terri (Thomas) Marnell of Casper, Wyo., Jim and Jill (Fulkerson) Marnell of Prescott, and Martha Marnell of Mesa.

There will be a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church on Fleury Ave. in Prescott. The funeral mass is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Sacred Heart.

Mary Jean and Verl will be reunited during a private inurnment at the Prescott National Cemetery.
