Kathryn (Gould) Coheen, age 50, of Phoenix, Az. formerly of - Tucson, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2002 surrounded by her family in Darlington, Wisc. following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 1, 1952 in Darlington, the daughter of Robert and Sara (Corbin) Gould.

Kathy received her Master of Social Work Degree in 1980 from UW-Milwaukee. Kathy had been a resident of AZ for 20 years working with the elderly as a Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director and Regional Director in a number of elderly care facilities. Kathy gave her time and her love to the staff and residents who were under her care and direction.

Survivors include her father and step-mother: Robert (Hazel) Gould; step-son: Christophe Malterre; two brothers: George (Mary) Gould, Mike (Pam) Gould; two sisters: Nancy (Bernie) Ruf, and Connie (David) de Prover; two step-brothers: Walter (Patricia) Ward, Neil Ward, and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1970; one brother: Gene Gould in 2000; and a step-brother: Gary Ward in 1989.

She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her son, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Kathy enjoyed hiking and going to the beach in San Diego, Calif. She was a member of the Alzheimer's Association in Tucson, Az. and served on the Board of Directors as treasurer and chaired the finance committee. She was Vice President, from Maricopa County, of the AZ Health Care Association from 1986-1988. She remained on the Board of Directors and served on various committees.

A memorial service was held on Monday, December 30, 2002, at Fayette United Methodist Church with her cousin Reverend Joseph G. Corbin officiating.

Burial will be in Fayette Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Kathy's name.

A Celebration of Life will be held January 7th, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Scottsdale Bible Church (new building closer to Hayden) 7901 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, Az.
