| Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, January 17, 2008 Dorothy Birmingham Ruggles, born in Phoenix, Ariz., on Aug. 14, 1926, passed away Jan. 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Leo Ruggles; her parents, William and Fay (Little) Birmingham; and her sister Alice Adams. Living in Prescott for the past 18-1/2 years, she was involved in the Prescott Noon Lioness. She was in Phi Beta Kappa, Phoenix. She is survived by sister Merle White; sister and brother-in-law Norma and O.L. Henderson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Beatrice Ruggles Hawkins and Bob Hawkins; daughters Patricia (Patti) Robison of Prescott; Sharon Ruggles-Leonard of Houston; son Robert Ruggles of Desert Hills. Her family invites friends to her visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale. Her funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Chapel of the Chimes. Graveside service will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, Ariz., followed by a 4 p.m. Celebration of Life reception Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at her son Robert and daughter-in-law Carol’s, 419 West Olesen Rd., Desert Hills. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Vasilow. Information provided by survivors. |
