The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 2, 2003 Marvin (Pete) L. Neely, 64, of Phoenix, Az. died Monday, December 30, 2002 in Phoenix. Visitation will be Thursday, January 2 from 12 to 3 p.m. with a 1:30 p.m. Rosary at Carr Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, Az. Services will be Saturday, January 4 at 9:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 3550 E. Knox Rd., Phoenix. Arrangements are with Carr Tenney Mortuary. -------------------------------------- The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 3, 2003 Marvin L. "Pete" Neely, 64, of Phoenix passed away on December 30, 2002. He was born on August 7, 1938 in Phoenix. Pete is survived by his bride, Sylvia, sons, Doug and David and his wife Sherri, and stepdaughter Claire and her spouse Sal, and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers Dick and Paul of Phoenix, and sisters, Viola Treadway of Texas, Eunice Ray of Calif., and Rose Griffith and Virgie Tucker of Phoenix. Pete was a Navy Seal and served on the USS Sennet and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent the majority of his life working as an amusement vendor, eventually owning his own vending company, Quality Enterprises. Most currently he was the owner of Arizona Compaction Equipment and Taylor's Office Interiors. Pete was known by everyone as a generous and big-hearted man who deeply touched the lives of every person he met, even in the briefest encounter, and he will be greatly missed. A visitation and Rosary, 1:30 p.m. will be held on Friday, January 3rd from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Carr Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Roa in Tempe. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Road in Ahwatukee. |
