| West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona March 9, 2007 Anna M. Kirby, 92, of West Virginia and formerly of Goodyear for 23 years, died March 1, 2007, in Morgantown, W.Va. Mrs. Kirby was born Aug. 30, 1914, in Kingmont, W.Va., to Mary and John Zelenak. She moved to Arizona in 1978. Mrs. Kirby worked for the Westinghouse lamp plant for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and participated in Jolly Elders and the women's Bible study at First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale. She moved back to West Virginia in 2001. Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband of 52 years, James. She is survived by one daughter, Patty Raikes of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A service was held Monday at Immaculate Roman Catholic Church in Fairmount, W.Va. The Revs. Stephen and Douglas Sutton officiated. Memorials may be sent to 130 Lakeview Drive, Fairmount, WV 26554. Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home in West Virginia made the arrangements. |
