Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, January 18, 2008 Eugene Richard Little, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born March 17, 1932, in Swank, Okla.; the son of Franklin A. and Lucille G. (Davis) Little. Gene was 75 years old. Gene served in the United States Marine Corps rising to the rank of Sergeant during the Korean Conf lict. Gene graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in manufacturing engineering. He retired in 1986 after 30-plus years as an executive of Rockwell International. Gene was a wonderful husband to Jean for 51 years; they were married July 1, 1956. He was a great dad to Di Ann (Tony) Norkus of Prescott, Don (Alice) of Prescott Valley, Ron (Brigitte) of Riverside, Calif., and Hugh (Kim) of Yorba Linda, Calif. A Celebration of Gene’s Life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church, 148 S, Marina, Prescott, Ariz. A visitation and gathering of friends will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton. Inurnment will be 2 p.m. Jan. 22, 2008, at the Prescott National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the honor detail of the American Legion Post # 6. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting the family. He retired in 1986 after 30 plus years as an executive of Rockwell International. Gene’s life centered on his family and his church. He was an active member of First Baptist Church; serving in many capacities; usher, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon. Gene liked to spend time working with his hands puttering around in his workshop; if he couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed. He spent his leisure time gardening and enjoyed teaching the grandchildren and neighborhood kids how to garden. Gene enjoyed fishing with his wife and golfing. Gene was a wonderful husband to Jean for 51 years; they were married July 1, 1956. a great dad to: Di Ann (Tony) Norkus of Prescott, Don (Alice) of Prescott Valley, Ron (Brigitte) of Riverside, Ca. and Hugh (Kim) of Yorba Linda, a.: loving grandpa to: Vanessa, Michelle, Jason, Danny, Joshua, Veronica, Chris, Bella, Erica, and proud great grandpa to: Lilly, Tristan, Brooke, Ava, Lena, Brianna, Dicey, and Alexandria. Gene was one of sixteen children; 4 brothers and 5 sisters preceded him in death; and is also survived by brothers; Nolan (Laura May) Leroy (Era), Charles, and Ronny (Debra) all of Texas and sister Elizabeth (Don) Clark of Seattle, Wa.
