Wm. Earl Terry, 95, of Good Shepherd Villa, Mesa, was taken after a brief illness September 10, 2003. Born August 3, 1908 in Wilford, Idaho.

He was engaged in automotive and agricultural business pursuits (Studebaker dealer, OK Rubber Welders) in St. Anthony, Idaho until 1965 when he moved to Arizona as Comtroller of Farm Builder, Inc.

He has been retired for 25 years while working in the Mesa LDS Temple until release in May 2002. He has long been a leader in Boy Scouts of America achieving Silver Beaver recognition in 1941. He has done the final review for scores of Eagle Scout candidates in Mesa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy BURNINGHAM TERRY in June 1995.

They were married in the Salt Lake Temple in June 1934 and are survived by a daughter, Sandra Ann and husband Gerald HEKEKIA of Thatcher, Arizona, and Boyd E. TERRY and wife, Carolyn, of Columbia, Missouri. Eight grandchildren survive: Brent HEKEKIA, San Antonio, Texas, Jay BION and Kim WIMMER, Salt Lake City; Bruce and Michelle Kekekia, Irvine Ca., Brad and Kristen HEKEKIA, Mesa, Arizona, Ann and Peter LIGHTFOOT, Collingham, Yorkshire, U.K.; Kenneth and Kim TERRY, Columbia, Missouri, Martha and Michael OHL, Columbia, Missouri, Matthew TERRY, Tena, Ecuador. There are 13 great-grandchildren.

Interment at Mountain View Memorial Gardens 7900 Apache Trail, 85207.

Funeral services were at the Mesa Ninth Ward Chapel, 997 East Broadway. The grave was dedicated at the cemetery.

There will be no procession but celebrants are welcome to attend.
