In loving memory of Don R. Kingston, born August 13, 1906 and who died December 31, 2002. Don was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Claude I. Kingston and Melissa Rogers.

He was in the barber business. Don and his wife, Lavera M. Lister of Nebraska moved to Phoenix 48 years ago.

He served in the armed forces for three years with the 108th General Hospital unit.

Owned and operated a barber shop at 40th Street and Indian School Road, Phoenix for 12 years. He was an entrepreneur in Omaha, Nebraska and Phoenix, Arizona. Don was a generous, care giving person. He gave to many non-profit agencies, sent children to summer camps, fed the homeless and aided college students.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother Erwin Kingston.

Don is survived by his sister, 97 3/4 years old - Leora Simpkins of Gibbon, Nebraska; Mrs. Donna Bloom, Ken Bloom and family - Matthew, Melissa and Elizabeth. Mr and Mrs Tom Kingston and family of Kingman, Az., Mr. and Mrs. Robert John and family; Mr.and Mrs. Thad Meese both of Ord, Nebraska; sister-in-law Margaret Teuwe of Phoenix.

Contributions may be made to the Phoenix Citadel Salvation Army, 628 North 3rd Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85003.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 East Shea Boulevard, Scottsdale, Az.
