The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 3, 2003 Ada Ortiz, daughter of Dario and Luisa Garcia Ortiz, beloved mother and grandmother departed 28 December 2002 to live in eternal peace with our heavenly Father. Born in Garza Texas on October 13, 1913. He was preceded in death by brother, Rosendo Ortiz; sisters, Felicidad Beltran and Benita Alonzo of Texas; daughters, Mary Alonzo, Anita Hernandez and Margaret Ortiz; husbands, Eugene M. Ortiz and Mr. Genaro Cavazos. Survived by sister, Virginia Longoria (Lubbock, Texas); daughters, Janie (Tony) Ruiz (Tulare, Ca.), Lupe (Richard) Cavazos (Maricopa, Az.), Martha (Armando) Villalobos (Avondale Az); sons, Felix Ortiz, (Phoenix, Az.), Pete (Lupe) Ortiz (Phoenix, Az.), and Eugene (Ruth) Ortiz, (Tucson, Az.); twenty-six grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. A resident of Maricopa, AZ. since 1982, she was well known for her unselfish loyalty for family and friends. She was a grand lady with an indomitable spirit, very independent and devout to her faith and beliefs. She will always be remembered for her fierce determination never to be a burden on anyone. Her hard working nature and self- sufficiency will always stand out. Mama, Nana, we will truly miss your love, wisdom, and guidance. Visitation was held on 5-8 p.m. Rosary 7 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2003 at Lundberg White Rose Chapel, 5310 W. Northern Avenue Glendale, Arizona. Service 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2003 at Lundberg White Rose Chapel. |
