The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 3, 2003 Lois H. Pohlman, 82, of Sun Lakes, Arizona a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away December 29, 2002 following an extended illness. Lois was born March 30, 1920 in Riverside, New York. She graduated from Riverside High School near Buffalo, New York and attended the University of Michigan where she met her husband. After nearly twenty years in the Atlanta, Georgia area, Lois and her husband moved to Sun Lakes, Az. to be near her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence (Larry) as well as her sons, David, of Arvada, Colo., Robert, of Phoenix, Az. and Thomas, Greenville, N.C.; five grandchildren Scott, Anne, Christopher, Sasha and Katherine. Lois will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. A memorial service celebrating her life will be Thursday, January 9, 2003, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Rd. with a reception to follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Arizona Alzheimers Association in Lois' memory. |
