The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 4, 2003 Joanne E. Coleman left us too soon on December 30, 2002. She came to Arizona in 1952 from Chicago, Ill., and never really left. She had a long and rewarding career in hotel management including Del Webb's Mountain Shadows and Townehouse Hotels in Phoenix and Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City, the Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona, and the Mint, Hacienda and Las Vegas Inn Hotels in Las Vegas. She is survived by her son, Ed Coleman, daughter, Trish St. Peter, grandson, Adrian Ramirez, granddaughters, Kristen and Jillian Coleman, great-granddaughter, Hailey Kaye Griffith and the many dear friends who had the good fortune to have known her. She will be rejoining her daddy, Dr. Edwin Moore, and her mother, Dorothy Moore, who preceded her in death. Joanne had an indomitable spirit, a keen intellect, and irrepressible sense of humor and an incredibly strong will. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her, but the memories of her love for them and of her charm, wit and humor will comfort them. Services will be on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Az. In lieu of flowers, Joanne would have preferred donations to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, Az., 85014. |
